The Iran National Football Team, currently training in Tijuana, Mexico, is preparing for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Led by Carlos Queiroz, they will compete against New Zealand, Belgium, and Egypt in their group. Iran is scheduled to play New Zealand on June 15th in Los Angeles, Belgium on June 21st in Los Angeles, and Egypt on June 26th in Seattle. The team has moved its camp from the US to Mexico and is only allowed to travel to the match venue on the day of the game. Some members of the Iranian delegation have not received US visas. The Iranian Football Federation announced that its ticket allocation for the World Cup matches in the US has been canceled and has asked FIFA to intervene.
