Iran, after two wins and one loss in Group C, defeated India 83-66 in the playoff to reach the quarterfinals. Australia, as the group A leader, advanced directly to this stage. The winner will not only advance to the semifinals but also secure a berth in the 2027 FIBA U-19 World Cup. This is the first encounter between Iran and Australia in the under-18 Asia Cup.
