Greek Media Report
Greek media reported in recent weeks that Olympiacos head coach had no desire to continue working with Mehdi Taremi, a fact that was later officially confirmed. Taremi is now exploring leading options for the upcoming season, and various speculations about his next destination have emerged in recent days.
Emirati Offers
According to the latest news, Taremi has been approached by several Emirati clubs through an intermediary, and there is now a possibility that he will return to Asian football after seven years. One club he reportedly prefers is Shabab Al Ahli; however, the club currently does not need a new striker and has shown no interest in signing an Iranian forward.
Al Nasr and Al Wasl
Al Nasr is also mentioned as a potential destination for Taremi, but the club faces wage-budget constraints that make it difficult to meet the striker’s salary demands. Therefore, a move to Al Nasr would only be feasible if Taremi’s financial expectations were lowered.
In this context, Al Wasl appears to have a better chance of signing Taremi. The club’s management is reviewing the conditions for recruiting an Iranian striker, and if the board approves, they will begin face-to-face negotiations with him.
Current Status
Given the existing circumstances, Taremi’s future destination is expected to be clarified in the coming days. Until now, no formal agreement between Taremi and any Emirati club has been announced.
European Efforts
Meanwhile, a European intermediary is also attempting to present suitable options to Taremi so that he can continue his career with a European club, but that process has yet to yield positive results.
