On Friday, Iran's U20 national team played a preparatory friendly against Thailand's U20 side during their training camp in Thailand, winning 2-0. The match was held at 16:00 local time at Chom Buri Stadium, where the Iranian squad, coached by Qasem Hedayatfar, displayed a superior and cohesive performance to defeat their opponents. Mohammad Mehdi Jannia scored in the 48th minute, and Abolfazl Zadeh Atar added the second goal in the 71st minute. Following the camp, the young national team will travel to Iraq on 3 September and to Vientiane, Vietnam on 5 September to compete in the Group C qualifiers of the Asian U20 Nations Cup.
