Championship Results
On August 29, Iran’s national team secured 16 medals-5 golds in men’s events and 2 golds in women’s-at the World Taekwondo Federation championships. The competition began on Tuesday of the week with 427 participants and concluded on the afternoon of Thursday, August 29. Iran’s 16 medals earned them the championship title, while South Korea finished as runner-up with 5 golds, 4 silvers, and 6 bronzes; Kazakhstan took third place with 2 golds and 3 bronzes.

In the men’s division, gold medals went to Abolfazl Zandi, Radin Zeynali, Arin Salimi, Homa Zarrin Kamar, and Naserin Valizadeh, and bronze medals to Mehdi Haji Mousavi and Daniel Bozorgi. In the women’s division, gold medals were awarded to Homa Zarrin Kamar and Naserin Valizadeh, a silver to Shaparak Najafi, and six bronzes to Amir Sina Bakhtiari, Yalda Valinejad, Fatemeh Ahmadi, Saghar Moradi, Nahid Kiani, Siana Karimi, Sara Sofi, and Amir Hossein Yazdani.
